Dr. Michael L. McCrimmon is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, and possesses a B.S. degree in Computer Science, B.S. in Journalism, MBA in International Finance and a PhD in Computer Science. Additionally, Michael has completed executive management programs at the elite Harvard Business School, and the prestigious Anderson School of Business at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Michael is presently completing work on his Master of Divinity degree at the Emory University, Candler School of Theology.
Michael has worked in information technology for 30 years, for companies such as Eastman Kodak, Federal Express, and the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games while holding executive roles at Digital Equipment Corporation, KnowledgeWare, Price Waterhouse, and IBM
Highly regarded and published in the information technology industry, Michael has served as Vice-Chairman of the Information Technology Senior Management Forum (ITSMF), the premier organization for African-American information technology Executives and Chief Information Officers.
Michael was named the first Chief Information Officer of the Black Data Processing Associates in 2001, an organization that he has been a member of for 26 years. Michael has founded numerous chapters of the BDPA, served as the organization’s, National Vice President, and has been a member of the Board of Directors for over 20 years.
Michael is the managing partner of M2Synergistics, Incorporated, a management consulting firm that specializes in relationship management. Additionally, Michael currently serves as the Assistant Pastor, for the Cliftondale Church of Atlanta, Georgia, while also working as an adjunct professor in the School of Business at Indiana Wesleyan University, where he teaches database management and administration, one of his areas of specialized expertise.
Michael is the son and only child of the Aubry (deceased July 2007) and Virginia McCrimmon of New Orleans, LA, and is married to Valencia Pearson McCrimmon of Laurel MS, currently a Quality Assurance Manager for information systems at Cox Enterprises and is a lifetime member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. Michael and Valencia have been married 7 years and they have a 4 year old son, Michael Lynn McCrimmon II.
Michael is in the final stages of completing three books for publication in late 2009.
